Salt Of The Web's Search Engine is being designed to provide you not just with relevant results, but also results you can trust - results you won't be afraid to let your children view. This is, of course, a daunting task, as the internet is filled with websites covering a spectrum from very good to just-plain-awful. Our goal is to provide "trust" ratings which will allow the very best and most reliable websites to be filtered to the top of the results page for any given search query. How will we accomplish this daunting task? Part of the answer to that question is proprietary, and can't be answered in this description. But here's what we can tell you: Members at Salt Of The Web will be given the opportunity to give a 0-10 ranking on the sites they search. These rankings will play a part in measuring the trust level of each site. Members will have the ability to report sites to the site editors if they consider the site to be inappropriate. Reported sites will be reviewed, and - if appropriate - removed from the search index.
